A Data Input is the data required to perform a process or activity. It’s similar to an input parameter.
You create Data Inputs in processes by adding the Data Input element to the diagram.
You create Data Inputs in a Task by defining the Input attribute. Data Inputs aren’t visually represented in the diagram.
Fill in these fields in the Attributes tab:
Item Definition
The data type of the Item the Data Input or Data Output is referencing.
Default Value
The default value of the Item the Data Input or Data Output is referencing.
Define this attribute in the Item Definition tab of the Attributes panel:
Item Definition
The types of data you can use in a BPMN model. Modeler has default options that are simple types and arrays of simple types.
To add an item definition, click Add.
To remove an item definition, select the item from the list then click Remove.
To complete or edit an item definition, select the item definition from the list and fill in these fields:
