Free trials and subscriptions

Can I try Cardanit for free?

Yes, we have two free options.
Our Basic subscription gives you access to a limited set of features but it’s a good way to get to know Cardanit.
If you’re looking for a complete Cardanit experience, our 30-day free trial of a Pro subscription gives you access to all the features and 500 projects with unlimited elements.

How do I sign up for a Basic subscription?

Go to the Pricing page and in the Basic box, click Get started.

How do I sign up for a 30-day free trial?

Go to the Pricing page and in the Pro box click Try 30-day free trial.

What does a 30-day free trial include?

It gives you full access to all Pro subscription features and 500 projects with unlimited elements for 30 days.

What happens when my 30-day free trial ends?

You can continue to access all your projects as a Basic subscription user. You’ll no longer have access to Pro subscription features.

What happens to my 30-day free trial if I upgrade to a Pro subscription before the trial ends?

Your free trial will continue until its expiration date. After the trial ends, we’ll charge your payment and your Pro subscription will be activated.

What happens to my projects after my 30-day free trial ends?

You won’t lose access to any projects you created or that were shared with you.
If you buy a Pro subscription you can continue to take advantage of all Pro features.
If you decide not to continue as a Pro user, you can access your projects as a Basic user. In this case, if you have more than 5 projects, you won’t be able to create new projects. If a project has more than 30 elements, you won’t be able to add any more to the project.

A Basic subscription includes:

Pro and Enterprise subscriptions

What’s the difference between a Pro and an Enterprise subscription?

A Pro subscription is aimed at individuals or small companies. It gives access to all Cardanit features and up to 500 projects with unlimited elements.
An Enterprise plan is designed for large companies who want to buy multiple Pro subscriptions and control how they are distributed and managed. Enterprise offers tiered pricing on Pro subscriptions and an Admin Console. It also includes an unlimited number of Basic subscriptions.

How many BPMN and DMN projects do I get with a Pro subscription?

You get 500 projects in total. You can use them exclusively for BPMN projects or have a mix of BPMN and DMN projects.

How many subscriptions do I get with an Enterprise plan?

You can buy as many Pro subscriptions as you need. You can also add an unlimited number of Basic subscriptions to your Enterprise plan.

Can I buy a Pro subscription under an Enterprise plan if I’m not the billing admin?

Enterprise is aimed at companies that require multiple subscriptions and billing admins are responsible for purchasing subscriptions. If you require a Pro subscription, please contact your billing admin.

Do you issue invoices to individuals who purchase a Pro subscription or an Enterprise plan?

During the purchasing phase of a Pro subscription or an Enterprise plan we ask you to specify whether you want us to invoice you as an individual or a company.

Do you offer any discounts on multiple subscriptions?

We have a tiered pricing system for multiple subscriptions with our Enterprise plan that enables you to save money the more subscriptions you buy. For more on tiered pricing .

Payment

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, American Express). If you would like to pay with another payment method, please contact us.

Can I update my credit card and billing details?

Yes. Open your Account page, click Billing and Payment and make your changes.

Can a third party pay for my subscription?

Yes, they can but please contact us first.

Are there any extra costs or hidden fees?

No, there aren’t. Our monthly and yearly subscription prices are what you see on our pricing page. There are no extra fees or hidden costs.

What do I do if my payment can’t be processed?

If you have any issues with your payment, please contact us and we’ll sort it out.

Who processes my payment?

Stripe handles all payments. Invoices are issued by ESTECO, the company behind Cardanit.

Do I have to provide my credit card details for a Basic subscription?

No, you don’t. We don’t require a credit card for this subscription.

How do I know my credit card details are secure?

We use Transport Layer Security (TLS) and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) security protocols to encrypt all the communications between your computer and our site. When you pay by credit card, we don’t store your card details on our servers. Your card credit details are securely stored on your computer by our payment processor Stripe and communicated to our processor and your issuing bank over encrypted connections.

Managing subscriptions

Can I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel your subscription at any time and continue using it until it expires. We don’t offer refunds.
Open your Subscription page and in the Subscription section, click Cancel subscription.

Can I upgrade to a Pro subscription if I have a Basic subscription?

You can upgrade your subscription at any time.
Open your Subscription page and in the Subscription section, click Upgrade.

Can I downgrade my Pro subscription to a Basic subscription?

Yes but you’ll need to cancel your Pro subscription first. Your Pro subscription will continue to the end of the billing period. After that, you’ll automatically become a Basic subscription user.

Can I switch my payment plan from monthly to yearly or yearly to monthly?

That depends. If you have a Pro subscription, you can switch from monthly to yearly but not vice versa.
Open your subscription page, click Upgrade and in the Pro box select the yearly option.

Can I change my billing status from individual to company?

Yes. Please contact us and we’ll take care of it.

Can I upgrade from Pro to Enterprise?

Yes. Open your Subscription page and in the Subscription section, click Upgrade subscription.

Can I add my Pro subscription to my company’s Enterprise plan?

If you purchased a Pro subscription you can proceed in one of these ways:

  • Cancel your subscription (it will remain active until it expires) then ask an Enterprise admin to add you to the user list in Enterprise.
  • Contact us and we’ll help you.
Can I add or reduce the number of Pro subscriptions in my Enterprise plan?

Yes. If you’re a billing admin you can add or reduce subscriptions at any time.
To add subscriptions, open your Admin console and click Buy more.
To remove subscriptions, open your Admin console page and click Edit.

How many admins are there in an Enterprise plan?

There’s only one billing admin but you can have as many admins as you require. The billing admin can assign admin privileges to an unlimited number of users from the Admin console.

Projects and features

What do I do if I need more projects on my Pro subscription?

Please contact us. If there are other Cardanit users in your company, consider switching to an Enterprise subscription and get unlimited projects and elements.

What happens to my projects after my 30-day free trial ends?

How secure is Cardanit? Is my data private and protected?

We take data security very seriously. We host our servers in a world class data center that has 24-hour surveillance and make sure that Cardanit security is always updated. We are EU GDPR compliant and use TLS/SSL encryption to keep your data safe.
